Description: La mode illustree. Journal de la famille. 27th year, Paris, librairie de
Firmin-Didot et Cie. 416 pages, and 52 full-page (mostly women and children), very
finely handcolored fashionplates (51 of 52 plates and one extra plate bound in from 
'Journal des dames et des demoiselles'). A very large number of illustrations in text.

These volumes are rarely complete with the col. Pl. Originally, they could be and 
mostly were purchased without the plates which was cheaper. The quality and the large
format of the plates (mostly by I Desgrange and Anais Toudouze) makes this
magazine one of the most representative of the fashion business of that period.
